WASHINGTON, July 18: The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Friday that it has completed its latest wave of military strikes against Iran, marking the seventh consecutive night of operations as Washington continues its campaign against Iranian military capabilities.

In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said the operation targeted a range of military assets, including surveillance sites, logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage facilities and maritime capabilities.

The strikes involved a combination of fighter aircraft, armed drones, warships and other military assets in what the command described as a coordinated effort to further degrade Iran's ability to conduct military operations and threaten regional security.

The latest operation comes amid escalating hostilities between the United States and Iran, with both sides exchanging attacks across the region in recent days. Washington has intensified its air campaign against Iranian military infrastructure, while Tehran has vowed retaliation and continued to launch attacks against U.S. interests and regional allies.

CENTCOM did not immediately disclose the extent of the damage inflicted or whether there were any casualties resulting from the latest strikes. The command said the operation was part of ongoing efforts directed by U.S. leadership to weaken Iran's military capabilities and protect freedom of navigation and regional stability
