CENTCOM Says 118 Vessels Redirected, 5 Disabled Under Iran Blockade

TAMPA, Jun 1: Thousands of U.S. service members operating at sea, in the air, and on land are supporting the ongoing U.S. blockade of Iran, according to the United States Central Command. As of June 1, CENTCOM said its forces had redirected 118 commercial vessels and disabled five others to enforce the blockade and prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports. The operation, which began on April 13, involves thousands of troops, warships, and aircraft deployed across the region as Washington maintains pressure on Tehran through maritime enforcement measures.
