WASHINGTON, Oct 30: The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected an Iranian claim that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) destroyed a US military unmanned sea drone in the Strait of Hormuz, describing the report as false.

In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said all US military unmanned surface vessels operating in the Middle East were accounted for, dismissing the IRGC announcement as misinformation.

CENTCOM confirmed that a squadron of advanced unmanned surface vessels was patrolling the Strait of Hormuz as part of its defensive operations in the region.

The command accused the IRGC of spreading false claims, saying its forces continued to maintain their defensive presence in the strategically important waterway.
