CBK completes process to issue new banknotes

KUWAIT CITY, April 5: The Central Bank of Kuwait announced today, Tuesday, the completion of the process of providing all local banks with new notes of Kuwaiti currency in various denominations, in order to meet the needs of citizens and residents of new bank notes on the occasion of the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The CBK in a press statement said those wishing to obtain new banknotes of all denominations of Kuwaiti currency should visit their bank branches during official working hours. The bank pointed out the Kuwaiti banks have allocated 359 branches, in addition to 171 automatic withdrawal machines, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, to meet the needs of their customers for new banknotes. The CBK sources stated that four central locations have been provided in the commercial complexes — “Avenues, 360 Mall, Al Asimah and Al Kout — to provide automatic withdrawal machines from the middle of this month until the second day of Eid Al-Fitr, to meet the needs of citizens and residents.
