Caught on Video: Kuwait Arrests 5 Drivers, Sends Their Cars to the Crusher

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 8 : The General Directorate of Traffic has arrested five drivers for reckless driving, excessive speeding and engaging in illegal street racing on public roads without obtaining the required permits, endangering their lives and those of other road users.

The arrests were carried out by the Security Control Department following the receipt of video footage documenting the traffic violations.

After reviewing the footage, security personnel launched search and investigation operations, which led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the vehicles and their drivers.

The authorities issued traffic violations against the five drivers and referred them to the Central Prison. Their vehicles were also impounded and sent to the crusher in accordance with Article 33 bis of the Traffic Law.

The Ministry of Interior stressed that it would continue its efforts to crack down on serious traffic violations and take firm legal action against anyone who endangers the lives and safety of other road users.

The ministry reiterated that reckless driving, dangerous speeding and unauthorized racing on public roads would not be tolerated, reaffirming its commitment to protecting lives and property.
