Catholic Church in Kuwait Offers Prayers for Nation’s Peace and Stability

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: The Catholic Church in the State of Kuwait has raised a solemn prayer to God Almighty for the protection and well-being of the country and its people, reaffirming its spiritual solidarity with the nation during a time of heightened uncertainty. The prayer, issued in the name of the Catholic Church in Kuwait, asks that God “protect the beloved State of Kuwait with security, safety, and stability” and continue to grant it “the blessings of peace and tranquility.”

The message further implores divine blessing upon Kuwait’s “prudent journey,” asking that God safeguard its wise leadership and its loyal people from “all harm and adversity.” The Church’s appeal underscores its appreciation of the country’s stability and its commitment to pray for the continued peace and protection of the State of Kuwait.

In an accompanying pastoral message, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, Bishop Aldo Berardi, O.SS.T., called on all the faithful of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia to respond to present challenges with calm, unity, and responsibility. “In this time of uncertainty, I ask all the faithful of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia to remain calm, united in prayer, and attentive to the safety of everyone. Please follow carefully the instructions of the civil authorities and take all necessary precautions in your homes, workplaces, and parishes,” he said.

Bishop Berardi also issued clear guidance to parish leaders across the Vicariate. “I also direct all parish priests and rectors to take appropriate action and to make the necessary decisions, with prudence and responsibility, to ensure the safety of the faithful entrusted to their care. Let us remain united in faith and charity, caring especially for the elderly, the sick, and the vulnerable,” he stated. Any potential changes to parish activities, he noted, will be communicated “through official channels.”

Concluding his message with a blessing, Bishop Berardi entrusted the faithful and their families to the protection of the Lord and the maternal care of Our Lady of Arabia. “May the Lord protect you and your families, and may Our Lady of Arabia, our mother, watch over us all,” he wrote, signing the message, “With my blessing, ✠ Aldo BERARDI, O.SS.T., Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia.”
