KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Kuwait authorities have shut down two health institutes in Salmiya for violating regulations governing cash transactions and other licensing requirements.
The emergency team of the Ahmadi and Mubarak Al Kabeer governorates, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior’s Criminal Investigation Department in Mubarak Al Kabeer Governorate, inspected the two establishments and took immediate action over violations of Ministerial Resolution No. 32 of 2026, which prohibits cash transactions for certain activities. Other violations related to the establishments were also detected.
In a separate operation, inspection teams in the Capital Governorate seized 322 items of clothing, accessories and shoes bearing counterfeit international trademarks from a store.
Authorities found that the store was selling counterfeit products to consumers while falsely presenting them as original goods. The items were confiscated, the store was immediately closed, and a commercial fraud violation was recorded.
Legal measures have been taken against all violators in accordance with the applicable regulations.
