KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior reported that the Public Security, Traffic, and Operations Sector responded to four – what the ministry called ‘stray’ --incidents involving reckless behavior during the national day's celebrations, reports Al- Qabas daily. The suspects involved were referred to the Environmental Police, while several vehicles found violating security and safety regulations were impounded and towed to the MoI garage. Furthermore, individuals engaged in the unauthorized sale of balloons and water pistols, items prohibited during the celebrations as per the list issued by the Ministry of Interior, were arrested and handed over to the Environmental Police for necessary legal actions.

The statement added, the General Traffic Department also seized a few vehicles because the owners had made some modifications in violation of the GTD laws and were towed to the Ministry garage. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to firm and immediate action against any violations of the law or negative behaviors during national celebrations. Any individual found violating the instructions issued by the Ministry of Interior during such events will be referred to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings.
