KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Traffic officers referred an individual to the traffic police station for running a red light, while his vehicle was impounded and the necessary legal measures were taken against him. According to a security source, the traffic officers apprehended the individual for running a red light during one of their ongoing campaigns in the governorates. The source pointed out that the fine for running a red light, if settled amicably, is KD150. “If the case is referred to the court, the law stipulates imprisonment for one to three years and a fine of KD600 to KD1,000 or any one of these two penalties,” he added.
