KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has approved the re-floating of a tender for the upgrade of data collection and analysis equipment for power generation plants and main substations, based on the comments of the State Audit Bureau (SAB). The total cost of the tender is KD13.971 million, offered to companies that met the conditions and specifications. CAPT requested an extension of the initial bid bond for all participating companies, in accordance with Article 46 of Public Tenders Law No. 49/2016, which pertains to the provisions governing the validity of tenders. This tender is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to modernize the electricity network and its components, including generation and transmission stations. The upgraded equipment will enable decision-makers within the ministry to make the best decisions based on accurate data. Earlier, several companies submitted complaints to CAPT regarding the tender. Consequently, CAPT notified the companies about its decision to re-float the tender.
