This project aims to maintain the efficiency of the highway network, raise the level of traffic safety, and protect properties and lives from the accumulation of sand on highways.
Meanwhile , for the third time, the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) returned the contract for the ‘Paperless Government’ project to the State Audit Bureau (SAB) for review, pre-audit procedures, auditing and presentation of its opinion on the contract. Previously, SAB returned the project documents to CAIT twice -- on June 25 and Aug 11 -- to address certain comments. Meanwhile, CAIT obtained approval from CAPT to award the project contract to the bidder that met the technical requirements, at a total cost of KD9.992 million and an implementation term of three years. CAIT is now waiting for the approval of SAB to proceed with the contract and begin implementing the project, which aims to fully digitize government operations and services.
