KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) approved the awarding of a tender for supplying and installing fiber optic equipment in the main substations for KD16.729 million, to develop and modernize the performance of the stations in transmitting electrical power from generation plants to secondary stations. In addition, the Board of Directors of CAPT, by a majority vote, approved the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy's request to award the tender for connecting its external sites to the control center to the lowest bidder who met the requirements, at a cost of KD 91,555. The agency requested that bidders extend the initial bid bond for all companies participating in the tender, based on Article 46 of Public Tenders Law No. 49/2016. Through this tender, the ministry aims to connect all its external branches to the data centers in its main building and the National Control Center to exchange data, provide electronic services, and integrate all departments within the ministry.
