KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15: The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) opened bids for three tenders on behalf of the Ministry of Health during its meeting last Wednesday. A total of 29 out of 32 companies were deemed eligible and three companies were excluded in accordance with Article 45 of the Public Tenders Law. The Board of Directors of CAPT referred the submitted bid documents to the ministry for evaluation and to present recommendations within 30 days.

The accepted bids cover the maintenance, construction and minor expansion of buildings, hospitals and centers—11 packages with 18 bids—as well as the tender for upgrading the main data center (seven bids). The tender for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of nurse call and cardiac arrest team call (Code Blue) systems at Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital received four bids. These tenders are part of the plan to expand healthcare facilities to accommodate patients and visitors in hospitals and health centers. This is in addition to modernizing the data center to make services more accessible for the public and to use modern technologies in all hospitals, including Sheikh Jaber Ahmad Hospital—a medical landmark.
