KUWAIT CITY, June 4: In a collaborative effort between the Capital Governorate and the Commercial Bank, aimed at recognizing Kuwait's distinguished individuals across various domains, Governor Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah recently bestowed honors upon champion Kuwaiti athletes Faisal Mutlaq Al-Rajhi and Faisal Sorour. Al-Rajhi clinched the gold medal in the 5000-meter wheelchair race at the World Athletics Championships for People with Special Needs in Japan, while Sorour secured the silver medal in the shot put competition.

A ceremony, attended by Amani Al-Wara, Deputy Director General of the Corporate Communication Sector at the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, saw the governor commending their remarkable achievements, which have significantly elevated Kuwait's reputation on the global stage. He emphasized that recognizing such accomplishments serves as both motivation for Kuwaiti youth to aspire for international success and a tribute to the nation's sporting achievers.

Furthermore, the governor expressed gratitude to the Commercial Bank for its continuous support of events and initiatives aimed at honoring Kuwait's exceptional individuals.
