Can pray ‘Isha,’ but not ‘taraweeh’ in Kuwait mosques

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: To prevent gatherings amid the impact of current regional events, the Ministry of Social Affairs, through the Department of Charitable Societies and Foundations, has issued a circular to all heads of boards of registered charitable organizations in the country to declare the ban on the distribution of Iftar meals. The circular allows an exception for meals served inside mosques. The measure is part of the necessary safety procedures and will remain in effect until further notice.

Taraweeh prayer
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced on Saturday that it will perform only the Isha prayer and will cancel the Taraweeh prayer in all mosques in Kuwait until further notice, reports Al-Seyassah daily. It highlighted that this decision comes in light of the current developments in the region.
