Campaign to check validity of company licenses results in citations worth KD 130,000

KUWAIT CITY, July 6: The Safety Department of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality launched inspection tours of a number of companies within the governorate to check on the validity of their licenses, as well as make sure there are no encroachments on state properties.

Citations worth a total of KD 130,000 were issued during the campaign, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press release, Director of the department Maisa Boushahri said the citations were issued against companies that exploited state properties to set up permanent offices, and those operating with expired licenses.

She stressed that the department issue warning to the violating companies to rectify or remove the violations in order to avoid fines, and after the warning has expired and if they have not done anything about the violations, then the citations are issued.

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality has urged Kuwaiti citizens to call on the hotline No. 139 or via the social media account of Kuwait Municipality “@ kuwmun” to report any complaints, affirming that necessary action will be taken accordingly.
