KUWAIT CITY, May 24: The team affiliated to the Department of Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy that is in charge of confronting street hawkers launched an inspection campaign at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area during which it confiscated four truckloads of vegetables and fruits, reports Al-Anba daily.According to the Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality, such a campaign was launched parallel to its media awareness campaign titled “Your health is your responsibility” and the readiness of Kuwait Municipality to receive the holy month of Ramadan.The department urged all citizens and residents to refrain from dealing with street vendors and hawkers, as they do not hold health certificates and the foodstuffs they sell could be spoiled due to high temperatures. It affirmed that such inspection campaigns will continue in order to bring an end to the phenomenon of random markets that spoil the beauty of the country.
