Campaign against unhygienic places

Abandoned cars are being carried away.

KUWAIT CITY, May 26: Department of Public Hygiene and Road Usage at Hawally Municipality launched an inspection campaign covering several areas of the governorate, which resulted in the lifting of 34 abandoned vehicles and 13,500 cubic meters of garbage.

In a press release, acting Director of the department Nawaf Al-Mutairi said the campaign also resulted in the issuance of four citations against hygiene-related violations, cleaning of 400 garbage containers and placing warning stickers on 40 abandoned vehicles. He revealed that the aim of such campaigns is to ensure high standard of hygiene in all areas, urging the public to call the hotline No. 139 or contact via the social media account of Kuwait Municipality “@kuwmun” to report any complaints.
