Campaign against faulty elevators

KUWAIT CITY, July 31: Inspectors from Prevention Sector at the General Fire Service Department, in the framework of public safety, embarked on an extensive campaign to ensure that several buildings using manual elevators conform to safety conditions such as periodical maintenance, valid fire license, and renewed maintenance service contracts with recommended companies to replace internal protection doors with automatic doors.

In a statement, Deputy Director General for Prevention Sector Major General Khaled Fahad appealed to owners of the buildings to take the issue serious, seeing neglected elevators constitute grave danger to the general public.
