Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi met with Lebanese Ambassador to Kuwait Ghadi Khoury at the headquarters of the Health Ministry to discuss ways to strengthen health cooperation and develop areas of joint work between the two countries. Assistant Undersecretary for External Health Services Dr. Hisham Kalender also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Al-Awadhi confirmed the commitment of the ministry to strengthen cooperation with Lebanon and benefit from its medical expertise and experience in order to develop local health services. The two sides talked about the opportunities for cooperation in medical training, exchange of expertise, support for scientific research, development of health infrastructure, and utilizing the latest technologies and medical services.

Both sides stressed the importance of improving communication and coordination channels to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and benefit from the latest developments in the medical and health fields. On the other hand, Ambassador Khoury affirmed that his country is ready to expand cooperation with the ministry, as well as exchange expertise, technologies and medical services to support the development of the health sector in Kuwait.
