Call to penalize Israel supporters

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: Five parliamentarians have proposed a law to prevent dealing with Israel or any of kind of normalization with the Jewish state, and stricter penalties for violators and collaborators with the entity. The proposal submitted by MPs Adnan AbdulSamad, Dr. Ali Al-Qattan, Ahmad Al-Hamad, Dr. Hisham Al-Saleh and Khalil Al-Saleh prohibits dealing, normalization, or establishing of any direct or indirect contacts or relations with Israel — the Zionist entity — and its organizations throughout the world. It also stipulates that anyone who violates the provisions of the law be punished with imprisonment for a period of not less than a year and not exceeding three years, and a fine not exceeding five thousand dinars.
The proposal stipulates “it is prohibited to deal, normalize, or establish any direct or indirect contacts or relations with Israel — the Zionist entity and its organizations in all parts of the world, and it is prohibited to open representative offices of any kind and at any level with the Zionist entity, direct or indirect contact is also prohibited. All government and private institutions and natural and legal persons must not conclude any agreements, protocols, or meetings of whatever nature with Israel — the Zionist entity and its organizations throughout the world or with any party to which it belongs, directly or indirectly. Likewise, it is forbidden for a citizen or expatriate who is permanently or temporarily residing in the State of Kuwait and every natural or legal person in the State of Kuwait to sympathize with, participate, or demand dealing or normalization through any media or electronic or social media sites and through any modern or new means and in any form or an image calling for cooperation, communication or participation in any matter that indicates or alludes to cooperation, normalization, or dealing with Israel – the Zionist entity and its organizations, and it is prohibited for every Kuwaiti citizen or expatriate residing temporarily or permanent residence to travel to Israel — the Zionist entity, whether with a passport or without a passport.
All support, glorification, promotion, propaganda or support for any cultural, informational, religious, social, artistic, constructional, real estate or commercial business or dealings is prohibited under any other form or name in hidden or explicit dealings with Israel — the Zionist entity and its organizations and in any way – By Abdul Rahman Al-Shimmari Al-Seyassah and Arab Times Staff
