Call to issue visas for expats

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: Chairman of Kuwaiti Fishermen Union Dhaher Al-Suwayan has appealed to Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled to issue visas for expatriate workers in the fishing sector due to the lack of such workers in the local labor sector, reports Al-Rai daily.

He pointed out that the country needs such workers, as many of them left the country and do not want to return. He stressed the need to approve the visa applications of those who were granted a fishing license in order to fulfill their national obligation to ensure ample supply of fish and other types of seafood in the country.
