Cairo begins preparations to receive ‘stranded’ Egyptians

KUWAIT CITY, April 25: The Egyptian ambassador to Kuwait, Tariq Al-Qouni, said that the Egyptian authorities have begun preparations to receive residence law violators and other Egyptians stranded in Kuwait following the outbreak of the coronavirus, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The ambassador added the community members are expected to leave soon according to a schedule prepared by Egypt taking into account the capability of the health system in Egypt. The embassy source said priority will be given to women and children.
Al-Qouni added he is in constant contact with the Kuwaiti officials for a coordinated effort to complete the data of all residence law violators and transferring them to Cairo.
Ambassador Al-Qouni expressed his appreciation for the cooperation he received from the Kuwaiti authorities in this regard.
