KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The cabinet convened its weekly session at Seif Palace under the leadership of His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, as well as Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Issa Ahmad Al-Kandari, said that the Cabinet was apprised of the directives from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve him. These directives pertained to the pardoning of certain citizens who had received sentences, in accordance with the specified procedure outlined by His Highness the Amir. With a sagacious, paternal perspective and in adherence to the royal directives, the Council of Ministers has endorsed a draft decree granting clemency for individuals wanted in minor penalties, forwarding it to His Highness the Amir for consideration.

On this auspicious occasion, the Council of Ministers expresses profound gratitude to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah. It emphasizes that this noble gesture further solidifies the principles of tolerance and elevation established by the leaders of Kuwait.

Additionally, the Council of Ministers deliberated on matters concerning the National Assembly. In this context, they examined the agenda items scheduled for the upcoming regular National Assembly session, set to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of the 28th and 29th of November. Concurrently, the cabinet reiterated its commitment to fostering collaboration with the National Assembly, aiming to enhance the relationship between the executive and legislative branches. This commitment is geared towards realizing collective benefits that align with the welfare of the nation, its citizens, and the government.
