KUWAIT CITY, May 10: The Abu Halifa police have arrested two Sri Lankans for robbing taxi drivers, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source, the arrest came after securitymen received several complaints from taxi drivers that two Asians would hire their cabs and after reaching a deserted area in Abu Halifa would rob them at knife point.

Following the complaints police doubled their efforts and put open areas under surveillance and caught the suspects red-handed while they were about to rob an Asian taxi driver. Police found in the possession of the two men IDs and driving licences of some of their victims. During interrogation, the men are said to have admitted to committing the crimes. They have been handed over to the Public Prosecution.
