KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: Police have arrested a police lieutenant for drinking alcohol and making a hoax call, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, the man was arrested after he made a call to the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior and claimed seeing a bus carrying DAESH fighters.

Police combed the entire area and found neither the bus nor the terrorists. When police reached the caller, they found him high on alcohol. The officer who is subjected to tough disciplinary action has been handed over to the State Security police.

Meanwhile, services at the Jahra Manpower Department were disrupted due to absence of a female employee, reports Al-Shahed daily. However, the behavior of the head of the department was surprising. Instead of solving the problem, he looked like a mere spectator because he did not request any other employee to help complete the transactions. To add insult to injury other female employees left their place of work and went to have breakfast in violation of rules and regulations.
