KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Kuwait Municipality confirmed on Tuesday that field inspections are continuing as part of the “Build, Don’t Destroy” campaign, which is aimed at ensuring compliance with safety regulations and safeguard the security and well-being of workers and residents in residential areas, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Mohammad Al-Muwaizri , Head of the Safety Department’s inspection team at Farwaniya Municipality, stated that a tour carried out in Farwaniya Governorate resulted in the issuance of eight warnings for violations of construction regulations and guidelines. Al-Muwaizri explained that the campaign seeks to raise awareness of the importance of complying with regulations governing construction, demolition, and renovation work. It also educates property owners and contractors on the need to transport rubble and construction waste to designated sites rather than leaving them in vacant lots, on roads, or in public areas.
He emphasized the need for proper handling of construction debris, noting that negligence by contractors or property owners in this regard could endanger the lives of workers and local residents. Al-Muwaizri explained that the “Build, Don’t Destroy” campaign is part of Kuwait Municipality’s efforts to strengthen oversight, curb violations, and foster a culture of environmental preservation and respect for public property. He urged owners of plots and homes under construction to follow Kuwait Municipality’s official social media accounts to benefit from upcoming awareness messages and guidelines.
