BTS’ Jungkook set to dazzle fans with debut solo concert

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct 10, (Agencies): The youngest member of the K-pop sensation BTS, known as the “golden maknae,” is gearing up to captivate fans with his inaugural solo concert. BigHit Music, the agency behind BTS, recently made an official announcement on Weverse, a popular K-pop fan community app, about this highly-anticipated event, aptly named ‘Golden’ Live On Stage.’

Scheduled for Monday, November 20, 2023, Jungkook’s concert will commemorate the release of his debut solo album. The show is set to kick off at 8 pm (3 pm in the UAE) on November 20 at the Jangchung Arena, located in Jung-gu, Seoul. Access to tickets will be granted to Army members (devoted BTS fans) and those who have purchased albums through the Weverse Shop Global. More details regarding online streaming and ticket availability will be disclosed in a separate announcement, as mentioned in the official statement.

The statement also highlighted that ‘Jungkook ‘Golden’ Live On Stage’ will feature live performances of various tracks from his upcoming album. The organizers are eagerly anticipating the love and support that fans will shower upon this unique showcase with the artist.

Jungkook’s first solo album, titled ‘Golden,’ is slated for release on November 3. According to a previous announcement by BigHit, the album will consist of a total of 11 tracks, including his previously-released songs ‘Seven’ featuring Latto and ‘3D’ featuring Jack Harlow. In preparation for the album’s launch, the agency released concept photos under the themes ‘Solid,’ ‘Substance,’ and ‘Shine’ on X (formerly Twitter).

BTS enthusiasts are also abuzz with speculation about a potential collaboration between Jungkook and two prominent artists: Australian singer-songwriter Kid Laroi and UK rapper Central Cee. Kid Laroi gained international acclaim with his hit song ‘Stay,’ while Central Cee is known for tracks like ‘Obsessed with You.’ The speculation grew after Kid Laroi shared an Instagram photo alongside Jungkook on October 8.

Meanwhile, Jungkook continues to make history in the United Kingdom’s K-pop scene. On October 6, the Official Charts, often considered the UK’s equivalent of the US Billboard charts, announced that Jungkook’s latest single, ‘3D’ featuring Jack Harlow, debuted at the fifth position on the Official Singles Chart. According to the South Korean website soompi.com, this achievement solidifies Jungkook’s position as the first Korean solo artist in history — and only the second artist overall, following his group BTS—to debut two different songs in the top five of the Official Singles Chart. Prior to ‘3D,’ Jungkook’s debut solo single ‘Seven’ featuring Latto had entered the chart at the third position in July, setting a record as the highest debut position for any song by a Korean soloist on the UK chart.
