Brothers attack cops in street fight – Syrian insults ministry official

KUWAIT CITY, July 18: Two Kuwaiti brothers pounced on two patrolmen who stopped them on the Fahaheel Expressway for checking, and physically assaulted the officers. Apparently, the officers were on a round of the aforementioned location when the brothers drove by. They asked the duo to pull up for checking due to a traffic violation, and it resulted in a quarrel. The suspects resisted orders to board the patrol car and rather attacked the officers who later called for backup. The suspects were arrested and referred to the authorities for legal action. Meanwhile, an official from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry filed a case against a Syrian national for insulting him. The accused was summoned to the police station for questioning before necessary legal procedures were implemented against him.

Youth hurt in brawl: A youth, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, and who was injured in various parts of the body during a brawl in public in Sulaibiya has been referred to a hospital for treatment, reports Anba daily. The daily without going into details said, the main cause of the fight was a previous altercation between him and the suspects. The police are looking for the suspects.
