KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A large-scale ‘purge’ targeting those suspected of involvement in anomalies in the judiciary has started in line with the bold and quick steps and decisions taken by the judicial authority in cooperation with newly appointed Public Prosecutor Saad Al-Safran, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a reliable source.

The source disclosed that confidential procedures have started, indicating some new judges will stand trial for suspicion of receiving bribes. The source added this is the second of such steps; pointing out the first was the referral of 10 judges for trial when an Iranian identified only as Salehi, who is currently in prison, gave his testimony on the alleged bribery in the judiciary.
