KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The Court of Appeals postponed until Wednesday next week the hearing on the appeal of the defendants and the Public Prosecution against the ruling on the bribery of judges and money laundering case -- imprisonment and dismissal of six judges, confiscation of vehicles handed out as bribes, fining and imprisoning businessmen, employees and lawyers, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

The court took this decision in order to have more time to summon witnesses. While all the judges implicated in the case attended the session as two of them surrendered to the court, four defendants who were convicted and imprisoned were absent because they tested positive for coronavirus. Also, the media and public were prevented from entering the hall and gathering in front of it, only the lawyers who have powers of attorney for the accused were given permission to enter.
