Boursa Kuwait closes lower by 44 points amid broad declines

Kuwait Stock Exchange leads Gulf markets with highest gains in first nine months of 2025.

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Boursa Kuwait closed trading on Wednesday with its general index declining by 44.32 points, or 0.52 percent, to reach 8,437.81 points, with 161.8 million shares traded through 13,515 cash deals, valued at KD 54.5 million (about USD 166.2 million). The Main Market Index declined by 30.89 points, or 0.40 percent, to reach 7,780.68 points, through trading of 49.2 million shares across 4,184 cash deals, valued at KD 7.8 million (about USD 23.7 million).

The Premier Market Index also dropped by 49.51 points, or 0.55 percent, to reach 9,015.27 points, through trading of 112.6 million shares across 9,331 deals, valued at KD 46.6million (about USD 142.5 million). Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index fell 111.27 points, or 1.37 percent, to reach 8,002.41 points, through trading of 44 million shares across 3,514 cash deals, valued at KD 7.19 million (about USD 22 million).(KUNA)
