Bomb found on Abdali Road detonated

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: A bomb that was discovered on an open ground alongside Abdali Road was dealt with, without resulting in any casualties. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a strange object on an open ground alongside Abdali Road, securitymen rushed to the location to discover it is a bomb that is part of the remnants of the Iraqi invasion in Kuwait.

The bomb squad was summoned to the location and they dealt with the bomb in a safe manner without resulting in any casualties. They checked the area but did not find any other bombs. Meanwhile, a bomb was discovered on an open ground one kilometer away from Mutlaa Road. It was dealt with by the bomb squad in a proper manner. Meanwhile, Environment policemen arrested an Asian tanker driver for illegally dumping industrial wastewater in West Sulaibikhat.

The Public Relations and Security Media General Department in the Interior Ministry revealed in a press statement that the Monitoring and Environment Inspection Unit in the Environment Police Department saw a video clip of the Asian tanker driver dumping wastewater in an area that has not been specified for such purpose.

This has prompted the department to put the driver under surveillance, leading to his arrest. During interrogation, the driver disclosed the wastewater came from a company that has been shut down for undisclosed reasons.
