Delhi authorities probe blast near Israel Embassy; no injuries reported.

NEW DELHI: Delhi police responded to a call reporting a blast near the Israel embassy in the Chanakyapuri area on Tuesday. Top officials have arrived at the scene and are currently investigating the incident. Atul Garg, director of Delhi Fire Services, stated, “So far nothing has been found at the location.”

A spokesperson from the Israeli embassy confirmed that a loud blast was heard in the vicinity. “Yes, there was an incident. We are not sure what it is exactly yet … the police and our security team are investigating the matter,” the spokesperson told reporters. The Israeli foreign ministry assured that no embassy staff were injured, and both Indian and Israeli agencies are collaborating to examine the situation.

The bomb scare unfolded just hours after a major security threat in Mumbai, where the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a threatening email outlining a plan to detonate 11 bombs across the financial capital, with HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank listed as potential targets.

The sender also demanded the resignation of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.

Mumbai Police launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter, deploying officers to the specified locations mentioned in the threatening email.
