KUWAIT CITY, Jan 31: The Criminal Court presided over by consultant Nayef Al-Dahoom has sentenced a Kuwaiti tweeter to five years in jail with hard labor for insulting HH the Amir, reports Al-Jarida daily. Meanwhile, the court has acquitted Twitter users Rania Al-Saad and Saleh Al-Saeed who had been charged with promoting hostility and abusing a neighboring country which could have an impact on the relation between that country. In another development, the Criminal Court presided over by Consultant Mohammad Ja’afar has set March 6, 2017, to issue a verdict in the case of Sheikh Malek Al-Sabah and some union leaders in the oil sector who claimed they ended the strike of oil request upon the request of HH the Amir, which was later denied by the Amiri Diwan.
