Tawari Madloul Al-Dhafiri

BIRMINGHAM, LONDON, March 24: Newly established English football club Birmingham Albion has appointed Kuwaiti executive Tawari Madloul Al-Dhafiri to its management committee as part of a major strategy to strengthen administration, governance, and international expertise.

Al-Dhafiri, known for his extensive experience in both sports management and economics, will play a key role in guiding the club’s strategic decisions—particularly amid the financial and administrative challenges faced by English clubs at all levels of the Premier League.

“Joining Birmingham Albion is a great honor,” Al-Dhafiri said. “I look forward to contributing my experience to serve the club and working together with the team to achieve our goals. Integrating efforts across all departments is essential for long-term success and sustainability.”

Founded by ambitious young Kuwaitis Faisal Al-Sarbel and Badr Al-Anzi, Birmingham Albion will launch its first season this August. The club aims to provide a platform for Kuwaiti talent, allowing young players to compete and develop in English football.

Al-Dhafiri highlighted the progress already made, including partnerships with an Italian company for players’ uniforms, a Saudi supplier for sporting equipment, and a scouting platform for talent. The club is also finalizing agreements with English sponsors to support its growth and development.

“This is a unique opportunity for Kuwaiti players to showcase their skills internationally,” Al-Dhafiri said. “Birmingham Albion will be a gateway for local talent to reach the English leagues while strengthening the club’s institutional and investment foundations.”
