KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The General Administration of Civil Aviation has confirmed that operations at Kuwait International Airport are back on track, returning to normalcy following earlier delays in both arriving and departing flights on Saturday. The temporary closure of the airport's runway was necessitated by the presence of a group of birds near the amphitheater.

Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the spokesperson for Civil Aviation, informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that flight schedules were disrupted due to the gathering of birds close to the airport runway. The closure was a precautionary measure taken for a limited duration to ensure the safety of all flights. Al-Rajhi, also serving as the Director of the Air Transport Department in Civil Aviation, emphasized that international air safety protocols were rigorously followed to manage the bird presence, prioritizing the safety of passengers and aircraft.

He assured that all necessary measures have been implemented to mitigate the risk of accidents during take-off or landing, and the runway will resume operations once it is confirmed that all precautionary steps are successfully in place.
