Bids for managing Jaber, Jahra hospitals being studied

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Minister of Health Dr Bassel Al-Sabah has affirmed that the bids presented by international medical institutions to run Jaber Hospital and Jahra Hospital are being studied transparently, and opinions are being invited from many entities to submit to the concerned supervisory bodies, reports Al-Rai daily.

In response to a parliamentary question submitted by MP Osama Al-Shaheen, the minister explained that Kuwait Care Company, which was established by Kuwait Authority for Investment to manage hospitals and develop the medical services rendered by all hospitals and medical centers of the ministry based on a decision of the Cabinet, will be responsible for the management of Jaber Hospital. Regarding Jahra Hospital, he said a committee has been formed to study the mechanism for the management of the hospital.

Meanwhile, sources from the housing sector have denied reports circulating on social media about the increase in the rent allowance offered to citizens by Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) from KD 150 to KD 300, reports Aljarida daily
