Bid to curb infiltration hailed

KUWAIT CITY, April 4: Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Anwar Al- Barjas expressed on Sunday his appreciation for the efforts made by the maritime border men and their success in preventing infiltration and thwarting smuggling attempts.

The General Department of Relations and Security Media at the ministry said that this came after an inspection visit by the Undersecretary of the Ministry to Sabah Al-Ahmad Naval Base after the General Department of the Coast Guard succeeded in arresting intruders and thwarting an attempt to smuggle a quantity of suspected narcotics into the country. Lieutenant-General Al-Barjas stressed the support of the radar system with the latest modern technological technologies, stressing that the safety of maritime borders is an integral part of the comprehensive security system in order to achieve security and stability.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Barjas met with the security leaders and listened to an explanation about the nature of the work, pointing out that if there are some obstacles that prevent the proper functioning of the work, the means must be found to solve them. (KUNA)
