KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: Kuwait’s Central Bank and banking authorities have issued a strong warning to the public about the growing circulation of fraudulent advertisements on social media platforms. These ads often lure individuals with phrases such as “quick loan” or “no down payment,” targeting those in urgent need of financial support. Officials noted that such schemes are becoming increasingly sophisticated, making it essential for users to remain cautious when approached with unsolicited financial offers online.
In their statement, the authorities stressed that these promotions are purely deceptive, designed to steal personal data for illicit and potentially harmful activities. They urged the public not to engage with suspicious accounts or provide any personal or banking information to unverified sources. The Central Bank further reiterated that legitimate financial services are offered only through licensed institutions and official channels, reassuring residents of Kuwait to rely solely on trusted providers.
