KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6: Airport customs officers arrested an Asian for smuggling a quarter kilogram of betel leaves into the country. While the customs officers were checking bags, they got suspicious of one luggage which belongs to the Asian and the officers found out that it contained the betel leaves which were hidden among his clothes.During interrogation, the Asian admitted to the crime stating that he intended to sell the betel leaves. He was referred to the Drug Control General Department along with the confiscated items.Meanwhile, Salmi customs officers arrested an Arab who tried to smuggle an undisclosed quantity of subsidy items. He was referred to the concerned security department
