Belgium Postpones Closure of Kuwait Embassy for One Year

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation Maxime Prévost announced on his X platform account the postponement of the closure of the Belgian Embassy in Kuwait for one year.

Prévost affirmed the vital role of diplomacy in bringing people together, while expressing his congratulations to Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He stated that he and Sheikh Jarrah agreed to work jointly to strengthen cooperation between Belgium and Kuwait in various fields in order to maximize available opportunities, confirming his decision to postpone the closure of the embassy for one year.
