LOS ANGELES, Nov 2, (Agencies): A Michigan woman's life took a remarkable turn when she struck it rich with a winning lottery ticket, leaving her feeling incredibly fortunate.

Shayla Kauflin, who was making her regular Powerball ticket purchase online, decided to add a little extra luck to her day by purchasing five Lucky For Life lottery tickets for the drawing on Oct 9, as reported by the Michigan Lottery.

"This was the very first time I ever bought a Lucky For Life ticket," she shared. "While purchasing my Powerball tickets online, I noticed the Lucky For Life game listed and thought, 'Why not?' So, I bought $10 worth of tickets."

The excitement truly began when Kauflin checked the winning numbers the following day. She couldn't believe her eyes when she realized her good fortune.

"I logged into my lottery account the next day to see if I'd won anything, and when I saw $390,000 pending, I started screaming, crying, and freaking out!" the 39-year-old joyfully recounted to lottery officials. "I called my husband to tell him how much I'd won, and he was concerned at first because he thought something was wrong."

Lucky For Life's grand prize offers $25,000 for 20 years, or for life, depending on which is greater, according to the lottery rules. However, Kauflin decided to opt for a lump sum payment of $390,000, which she recently claimed at the lottery's headquarters.

Kauflin shared her exciting plans for her newfound wealth, which include treating her family to a Disney vacation and investing the rest of the money wisely.

"Winning is indescribable," she beamed. "It feels like the weight of the world has been taken off my shoulders. It may not be enough money to change the world, but it's enough money to change my world."
