Bedoun Families Urged to Complete Birth Registration for Newborns

KUWAIT CITY, The Central Agency for Addressing the Status of Bedouns (Stateless) has called on all individuals registered in its systems who have not yet obtained birth certificates for their newborn children to visit the Birth Registration Office at the Ministry of Health to complete the necessary procedures.

In a statement, the agency said that children over the age of five who have not been issued birth certificates require their parents to visit the Lineage Claims Committee to finalize the required process ahead of certificate issuance.

The agency also stressed the importance of adding newborns to their family files with the agency within 60 days from the date the birth certificate is issued.

It warned that necessary measures will be taken against those who fail to comply with the registration requirements.
