KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The Hawalli Governorate Municipality and Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, Faisal Al-Otaibi, has cautioned beach visitors against unauthorized barbecues. He emphasized that no official decision permitting barbecues has been issued, and therefore, municipal approval is not currently in effect. Al-Otaibi clarified in a statement to Al-Rai that the municipality has submitted its approval for barbecues to the legal department. However, the decision is pending, and as of now, barbecuing remains prohibited.

Addressing camp licenses for cooperative societies, Al-Otaibi affirmed, “The committee has granted licenses to every cooperative society that has submitted a request.” Currently, several societies await approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs regarding their budget. He highlighted the allocation of 1,000 square meters for each association’s headquarters and an additional entertainment site for shareholders. Al-Otaibi stated, “The number of licenses issued until last Sunday reached 700 spring camp licenses.”
