KUWAIT CITY, Sept. 19: The Public Authority for Sports is working with the Kuwait Football Association to bring 15 international coaches to Kuwait to develop under-12 players at local clubs.
Acting Director General Bashar Abdullah said the initiative aims to lay a strong foundation for young players, stressing the importance of proper development at an early stage. As a former player, he said he understands the key role this age group plays in shaping a player’s future.
Abdullah said the 15 coaches were selected based on specific qualifications and criteria following a review of nearly 150 coaching profiles from around the world. The selection process was carried out in cooperation with FIFA and specialized international football development programs.
Abdullah said the authority places particular emphasis on youth development and age-group teams and is working to provide young players with the right conditions to improve and progress.
He thanked everyone involved in completing the project over the past three months and expressed hope that the initiative would produce tangible results in the coming period.
