Basel Motor Racing Club to hold ‘4-Wheel ATV’ tourney

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7, (KUNA): Basel Al-Salem Al-Sabah Motor Racing Club will organize on Friday Kuwait’s Championship for Four-Wheel ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) — Sandstone Drake — at the club’s racing track along the Seventh Ring Road, heading towards Jahra.

In a press statement, Director General of the club Seif Al-Mutairi explained the club is hosting the first round of this tournament in order to attract youths who are into ATV (buggies) racing and to make the sports more popular.

He is confident that the youths will maintain the desired level of decency to match the high level of skills they possess, thereby, making them qualified to participate in local and regional tournaments and even to achieve higher level of performance.

On the day of the race, the participants will gather at 3:00 pm and the competition will start at 4:00 pm, he added.

He also praised the unwavering support of the Public Authority for Sports, which is represented by Sports for All Department in the State Ministry for Youth Affairs, specifically in organizing open days and championships that attract fans of this sports among the youths.
