KUWAIT CITY, Jan 25: Director of the Public Relations Department at the Kuwait Banking Association Sheikha Al-Issa has announced that banks will be closed on Feb 8 on the occasion of Al-Isra’ wal- Mi’raj (The Night Journey) for the Hijri year 1445 AH. Al-Issa affirmed that the association took this decision after coordinating with the Central Bank of Kuwait which issued a circular in this regard. She added the banks will resume operations on Feb 11. On this occasion, the association expressed its greetings and wished for more blessings for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the people of Kuwait and all banking customers.
