KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: The Credit Bank denied it has signed a contract with a company based in the Zionist entity, stressing that the contracting company is Kuwaiti and licensed and approved by the competent authorities in the country, including the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), reports Al-Qabas daily. This came to clarify what was stated by MP Hamad Al-Mudlej, in the National Assembly session held on December 21, 2022.
The bank confirmed in a press statement today that the contract was signed in accordance with the legal procedures stipulated in the Tenders Law No. 46 of 2016 and its amendments. The bank also denied it has received a request from the Audit Bureau to punish the team supervising the bank’s business based on that observation, which began to be addressed immediately through government channels, indicating that its acceptance of the aforementioned Kuwaiti company entering the tender, and its signing of the contract with it because it has contracts for the same purposes by providing protection devices and software with other government agencies. The Credit Bank reaffirmed its full commitment to implementing Law No. 21 of 1964 regarding the unified law to boycott the Zionist entity.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance announced the completion of the first phase of implementing the entertainment city project, which includes considering the comprehensive model for the project, in cooperation between the public and private sectors, reports Al-Qabas daily.
An informed source told the daily, the Ministry of Finance has addressed the Kuwait Municipality on the decision issued by the Cabinet to assign Finance Minister Abdul Wahhab Al-Rasheed with the tasks and responsibility of supervising the follow-up of the implementation of the entertainment city project.
The source indicated the ministry has planned to establish a major entertainment facility that follows the best international entertainment models which includes collecting basic information about the site. The Ministry of Finance, according to the source has requested facilitating the task of the members of the advisory team to obtain all the information and services necessary to extract all the documents, plans and licenses required to start working on the project as soon as possible in order to complete as per the deadline.
