KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: A Bangladeshi man reportedly walked into the Sharq Police Station at dawn on Saturday and confessed to killing a Yemeni resident in the Mutlaa area.

According to information, the visibly frightened and distressed man approached the duty officer and immediately confessed to the crime, saying he had killed a Yemeni man in Mutlaa.

The suspect, born in 2002, was taken into custody. Initial inquiries reportedly showed that he had previously been reported absent from his place of residence.

When questioned about the alleged motive, the suspect reportedly told investigators that the Yemeni man had sprayed water on him, prompting him to attack the victim and allegedly slit his throat.

The incident is linked to the earlier discovery of the body of a Yemeni resident, born in 1991, who was found with his throat slit inside a property in Mutlaa City.

Security personnel had earlier cordoned off the crime scene pending the arrival of the Public Prosecution representative, criminal investigators and forensic teams to examine the scene, remove the body and complete the investigation.

The suspect has been referred to the competent authorities for further legal action. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement confirming the details of the case or the motive behind the killing
